Scotland’s food and drink is world-renowned – from our iconic produce like salmon, gin, shellfish, whisky, berries, and beef through to less expected stars like vegetables, condiments, baking, and confectionery. And the provenance, the place, and the people all play a part in making it what it is. But there’s something more intangible at work here. Scottish food and drink is, in fact, a natural expression of what Scots - and Scotland – are all about; an encapsulation of our passion, pride, and personality. So, whether it’s literally ‘from nature’ or not, it doesn’t matter… it’s all ‘Naturally Scottish’.

Berries of Scotland
One small berry, one juicy reward for Scotland
The inaugural Berries of Scotland campaign spotlights, celebrates and promotes Scotland’s berry growers and produce, further developing Scotland’s world-class reputation for soft fruit, while encouraging Scots and visitors alike to add more delicious local fruit to their plates.
The campaign launched on 20 June at The Royal Highland Show, and will run for 4 months, tying in with Scottish Food & Drink September which takes place 1-30 September, 2025.
We have barley grown as locally as we can get it, then draw our own water from the bore hole right next to the brewery. It’s as naturally Scottish as you can get.
Growing berries here – it’s world renowned. What we have on the coast of Scotland is a cool sea breeze. Then you have nice cool nights which slow the ripening, producing a much sweeter flavour.
It’s this crumbly little melt in your mouth delight that’s made for you. It’s Scottish, and it’s that heart-home feeling.
We get our fish from the North Sea, buy them every day at the market, then come back and ready them for smoking the next day.
You have to honour time and traditions, but also try something new and have fun with it.
Scotland’s got a good climate for dairy. In the West of Scotland, in particular, it’s wet and mild. That’s good for growing grass, which is ideal for producing a quality product.
As soon as we put our Barra Atlantic Gin in front of someone, they can feel the warmth, the salty notes, and it reminds them of Scotland.
